Zusammenfassung:To provide a friction material suitable for mass production through injection molding, which exhibits stable and good frictional properties at both a room temperature and higher temperatures beyond 120°C, while offering good wear resistance at higher temperatures beyond 120°C, and a servo motor equipped with a braking device including the friction material.SOLUTION: A friction material comprises an injection-molded article. The friction material comprises 40-55 vol.% of a phenolic resin, inorganic fibers with Mohs hardness of 5 or more, and an inorganic filler with the Mohs hardness of less than 5.
