To provide an electric drive device which can detect a gripping state of an accessory member without affecting a connection part for connecting the accessory member and a device body.SOLUTION: An electric drive device A has a device body 1 having an actuator, and a handle 5 attachable/detachable to/from the device body 1. The handle 5 has a connection part 5A separably connected to the device body 1, a pressure-receiving member 5B which is displaced by gripping force when a user grips the handle 5, a magnet control mechanism 5C for operating a permanent magnet Mg in linkage with displacement of the pressure-receiving member 5B, and a frame part 5D which displaceably supports the pressure-receiving member 5B and stores the magnet control mechanism 5C.
