Zusammenfassung:To provide a method for producing a solid catalyst component which has good catalytic activity and can reduce the amount of a fine powder in a polymer in the production of an α-olefin polymer and to prove a production method having high production stability by suppressing the adhesion of a fine powder to an apparatus.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a solid catalyst component for α-olefin polymerization (Ab), which comprises: a contacting step in which the following components (A1) to (A4) are contacted in an inert solvent under specific conditions; and a preliminary polymerization step of contacting the obtained contact product with an ethylenically unsaturated hydrocarbon to obtain a solid catalyst component for α-olefin polymerization (Ab) comprising a prepolymerization product containing an ethylenically unsaturated hydrocarbon polymer in an amount to be 1.6 times or more by weight ratio. (A1): a solid component containing titanium, magnesium, halogen and an electron-donating compound, (A2): a silane compound having an alkenyl group, (A3): an alkoxysilane compound [which is different from a silane compound having an alkenyl group] and (A4): an organoaluminum compound.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】触媒活性が良好で、かつ、α-オレフィン重合体の製造において重合体中の微粉量を減らすことができる固体触媒成分の製造方法、及び装置への微粉付着を抑えて生産安定性が高い製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】α-オレフィン重合用固体触媒成分(Ab)の製造方法は、下記成分(A1)~(A4)を、特定の条件下、不活性溶媒中で接触させる接触工程、及び得られた接触生成物にエチレン性不飽和炭化水素を接触させて、重量比で1.6倍以上となる量のエチレン性不飽和炭化水素重合体を含有する予備重合生成物からなるα-オレフィン重合用固体触媒成分(Ab)を得る予備重合工程を含む。(A1):チタン、マグネシウム、ハロゲン及び電子供与性化合物を含有する固体成分、(A2):アルケニル基を有するシラン化合物、(A3):アルコキシシラン化合物[但し、アルケニル基を有するシラン化合物とは異なる。]、(A4):有機アルミニウム化合物。【選択図】なし
