Zusammenfassung:To provide a technique capable of effectively suppressing or avoiding communication between circulation regions where different types of fluids circulate in a fuel cell, even if a defect of a seal that separates the regions occurs.SOLUTION: Provided is a fuel cell 1 including a cell 2 that includes a power generation section 4 including a fuel electrode, an air electrode, and an electrolyte, a frame 10 supporting the power generation section 4, and a pair of separators 20, 40 sandwiching the power generation section 4 and the frame 10 therebetween. The cell 2 includes: a fuel gas circulation region FR for the circulation of fuel gas; an oxidant gas circulation region OR for the circulation of oxidant gas; a coolant circulation region CR for the circulation of a coolant; two or more seal lines 50, 54a extending between two different circulation regions adjacent to each other among the circulation regions so that the two different circulation regions are isolated from each other; and one or more exhaust passages 60 isolated from the two different circulation regions by the two or more seal lines 50, 54a and communicating with the outside of the fuel cell 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A 【課題】燃料電池において異種の流体が流通する領域を隔てるシールに不良が生じたとしても効果的にこれらの流通領域の連通を抑制又は回避する技術を提供する。【解決手段】燃料極、空気極及び電解質を有する発電部4と、発電部4を支持するフレーム10と、発電部4とフレーム10とを挟む一対のセパレータ20、40と、を含むセル2を備える燃料電池1を提供する。セル2は、燃料ガスの流通のための燃料ガス流通領域FRと、酸化剤ガスの流通のための酸化剤ガス流通領域ORと、冷媒の流通のための冷媒流通領域CRと、これらの流通領域のうち互いに隣接する2つの異なる流通領域の間に延在してこの2つの異なる流通領域を相互に隔離する2以上のシールライン50、54aと、2以上のシールライン50、54aによって2つの異なる流通領域と隔離され、燃料電池1の外部に連通する1以上の排出路60と、を備える。【選択図】図1A
