WETTING FLUID APPLICATOR AND METHOD OF SUPPLYING WETTING FLUID TO PRESSURE RELIEF VALVES

To provide an improved device and method for applying a wetting fluid to one-way pressure relief valves to ensure more effective closure of the valves.SOLUTION: A wetting fluid applicator unit applies a wetting fluid to pressure relief valves during packaging of a product, such as roasted coffee, with a packaging system. The wetting fluid applicator unit includes an unpressurized wetting fluid reservoir which supplies the wetting fluid to multiple fluid supply circuits. One fluid supply circuit charges a spray head with the wetting fluid while the other fluid supply circuit is replenished with the wetting fluid from the unpressurized reservoir.
