To provide an authentication device, an authentication method, and an authentication program that can effectively use authentication processing while reducing time and cost required for introduction.SOLUTION: An authentication device of one form according to the present disclosure comprises: an imaging unit that picks up an image of a user to be authenticated; a display control unit that displays the image of the user picked up by the imaging unit on a display part divided into a plurality of areas; and a determination unit that determines details of subsequent processing to be executed when the user is authenticated according to which area includes a position or a range where the user is displayed on the display part out of the plurality of areas.
