Zusammenfassung:To provide a steering device configured so that a component can be effectively prevented from breaking.SOLUTION: A steering device 10 is provided with: a lower jacket 30; an upper jacket 20; a ladder-like lock plate 22 firmly fixed to the upper jacket 20; a tooth 50 that can oscillate with a resin shaft 48 as a center, between an engagement position where the tooth engages with the lock plate 22 and a disengagement position where the engagement is released; and a cam 44 that presses the tooth 50 in a direction in which the tooth approaches the disengagement position, when rotating together with a transmission shaft 42 up to a tilt releasing angle. The tooth 50 has a contact surface 56 that faces, in an axis direction, a partition bar 24, when the tooth 50 is at the engagement position, which is a circular arc surface which is nearly parallel to a circular arc with the resin shaft 48 as the center, and a protrusion 54 that protrudes toward the upper jacket 20, when the tooth 50 is at the engagement position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】部品の破損を効果的に防止できるステアリング装置を提供する。【解決手段】ステアリング装置10は、ロアジャケット30と、アッパジャケット20と、前記アッパジャケット20に固着された梯子状のロックプレート22と、ロックプレート22と係合する係合位置と、係合解除される離脱位置と、の間で樹脂軸48を中心に揺動可能なツース50と、伝達軸42ととともに前記チルト解除角度まで回転する場合に、前記ツース50を前記離脱位置に近づく方向に押圧するカム44と、を備え、前記ツース50は、前記ツース50が係合位置にある場合に、前記仕切りバー24と軸方向に向かい合う面であって、前記樹脂軸48を中心とする円弧に略平行な円弧面である当接面56と、前記ツース50が前記係合位置にある場合に、前記アッパジャケット20に向かって突出する突起54と、を有する。【選択図】図3
