To provide a refrigerator which increases a freezing storage region that can be used effectively by efficiently cooling a region where an automatic ice-making unit in a freezing chamber is removed, and can execute rapid freezing.SOLUTION: In a freezing chamber 4, a refrigerator includes: a detachable automatic ice-making unit which has an ice-making tray and a drive motor for rotating the ice-making tray; a blowout port 16A where a gaseous body which has passed an evaporator 12 flows out toward the ice-making tray; and a rapid freezing duct 20 which is detachably mounted in the removed region, when the automatic ice-making unit is removed.
