Zusammenfassung:To provide an image reading device which facilitates take-out of a small-sized document without increasing the size of the device.SOLUTION: An image reading device 50 comprises: an image reading mechanism 52 which has a sheet feeding port 52c, a sheet discharge port 52d, a conveyance mechanism and a reading part; a sheet feeding tray 51; a sheet discharge tray 53 which is located on the lower side of the sheet feeding tray 51; a detection part; a document movement mechanism 55 which moves the document whose size in the width direction is less than a prescribed size in the documents P discharged from the sheet discharge port 52d on the upper side of the sheet discharge tray 53; and a control part.
