To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of accurately measuring the temperature.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device 1 includes: an image display portion having a plurality of pixels arranged in a two-dimensional matrix shape; a horizontal shift register that sequentially takes in a plurality of video signals for the number of columns of the plurality of pixels; a latch circuit that outputs, all at once, the plurality of video signals taken in by the horizontal shift register; a signal processing circuit that converts each of the plurality of video signals output from the latch circuit into a plurality of analog signals; a vertical shift register that controls so that the signal processing circuit enables the plurality of analog signals to access the plurality of pixels arranged in a row of any one of the plurality of pixels; and a temperature measuring circuit.
