To provide a video transmission system that provides distributed processing of compression/expansion processing by video division and automation of the distributed processing.SOLUTION: A video transmission system includes: a parallel distributed processing system equipped with parallel distributed processing servers; a video transmission device as a transmitting device that divides a video and transmits each division video in parallel to the parallel distributed processing system; and a video transmission device as a receiving device that obtains the video before division by receiving each division video from the parallel distributed processing system and integrating it. The video transmission device as the transmitting device allocates a parallel distributed processing server that is a transmission destination of a division video and compresses the division video, according to the number of video divisions.
