TIME SYNCHRONIZATION METHOD

To provide a time synchronization method that automatically detects a network apparatus that is not compatible with time sensitive networking (TSN) when a conventional network and TSN coexist, and appropriately cope with a boundary between the two.SOLUTION: A method includes obtaining information on transmission and reception time of each UDP frame, from a time-stamp when UDP frames of different frame sizes are made back and forth between TSN relay devices 1a and 1b, and then calculating transmission time of each UDP frame on the basis of the obtained information. The method includes if a transmission time difference between the UDP frames is N times a frame size difference, determining that N conventional HUBs 2 or the like are present between the TSN relay devices 1a and 1b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】従来のネットワークとＴｉｍｅ Ｓｅｎｓｉｔｉｖｅ Ｎｅｔｗｏｒｋｉｎｇ（ＴＳＮ）とが混在するときにＴＳＮ未対応のネットワーク機器を自動的に検出し、両者の境目に適切に対応する時刻同期方法を提供する。【解決手段】方法は、ＴＳＮ中継装置１ａ、１ｂ間でフレームサイズの異なる大小のＵＤＰフレームを往復させたときのタイムスタンプから各ＵＤＰフレームの送受信時刻の情報を取得し、取得した情報に基づき各ＵＤＰフレームの伝送時間を算出する。各ＵＤＰフレームの伝送時間差がフレームサイズ差分のＮ倍であれば、ＴＳＮ中継装置１ａ、１ｂ間にＮ台の従来ＨＵＢ等２が存在すると判定する。【選択図】図２
