The heat generating unit generates heat upon energization, and increases its resistance value along with an increase in temperature. The control unit controls to change with time the duty ratio of power to energize the heat generating unit and increase the power decreased due to the temperature increase again for every certain period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】加熱装置の立ち上がりに要する時間を短縮させることである。【解決手段】画像形成装置は、発熱部と、制御部と、を持つ。発熱部は、通電によって発熱し、温度上昇に伴って抵抗値が高くなる。制御部は、前記発熱部に通電させる電力のデューティ比を時間とともに変化させ、昇温により低下する電力を一定期間ごとに再び高めるように制御する。【選択図】図２
