Zusammenfassung:	To provide a gear phase measuring method and a gear machining apparatus that can accurately measure the phase of gear teeth.SOLUTION: The gear phase measuring method of the present invention comprises: bringing a touch probe 130 into contact with a side surface 162a of one of gears (workpiece 160) to determine a reference position P0 in a tooth width direction of the gears; identifying centers of respective tooth widths of the gears as measurement positions P1 and P2 based on distances in the tooth width direction from the reference position, respectively; and bringing the touch probe 130 into contact with the measurement positions P1 and P2 to measure phases of teeth of the gears, respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】ギヤの歯の位相を正確に測定することが可能なギヤの位相測定方法および歯車加工装置を提供する。【解決手段】本発明のギヤの位相測定方法の構成は、ギヤの位相測定方法において、ギヤ（ワーク１６０）の側面１６２ａにタッチプローブ１３０を接触させてギヤの歯幅方向の基準位置Ｐ０を決定し、基準位置からの歯幅方向の距離によってギヤの歯幅中央を測定位置Ｐ１、Ｐ２として特定し、測定位置Ｐ１、Ｐ２にタッチプローブ１３０を接触させてギヤの歯の位相を測定する。【選択図】図２
