Zusammenfassung: | To provide a technique advantageous for making pixels more minute.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a light emitting device in which a plurality of pixels are arranged on a main surface of a substrate, each of the pixels including: an organic layer including a light emitting layer; a reflection layer arranged between the main surface and the organic layer; a first insulation layer between the reflection layer and the organic layer; a transmission electrode between the first insulation layer and the organic layer; and a second insulation layer having an opening unit which exposes a part of the transmission electrode and covering the periphery part of the transmission electrode. A trench penetrating the first insulation layer is provided between the periphery part of the transmission electrode and the reflection layer. The transmission electrode is electrically connected to the reflection layer in the trench, and the second insulation layer has a recessed part covering the trench.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
