To provide a steering apparatus capable of improving operability.SOLUTION: A steering apparatus includes a steering unit, a turning unit, and a control device. Power transmission between the steering unit and turning wheels of a vehicle is cut off. The steering unit includes: a lever which is operated when the vehicle is turned; and an inclination angle sensor which detects an operation mount of the lever. The turning unit includes a turning motor which generates force for turning the turning wheels. The control device controls the turning motor according to the operation amount of the lever.
