To provide a reliable refrigerator comprising a receiving chamber capable of freezing, preserving and thawing preserved items in a desired state.SOLUTION: A refrigerator comprises: a storage chamber having a space capable of storing preserved items; an oscillator that forms high-frequency power; and a first electrode 24 and a second electrode 25 that are arranged to face each other, receive the formed high-frequency power from the oscillator, and generate an electric field in the storage chamber.
