RECORDING DEVICE AND INK TANK

To provide a recording device which allows a specified amount of an ink to remain in an ink tank even if the ink tank inclines.SOLUTION: A recording device includes: a detachable ink tank; a recording head to which an ink is supplied from the attached ink tank through an ink passage; and ink detecting means which uses multiple electrodes to detect an amount of the ink remaining in the ink tank when the amount of the ink becomes a specified amount. The ink tank includes: a pool part which is recessed at a part of a bottom surface of the ink tank; and an ink supply port which is provided on a side wall of the pool part to supply the ink to the ink passage.
