Zusammenfassung:To provide a coding device capable of performing a prediction processing which was more segmented while suppressing an increase of a processing amount in a coding of a video image or the like.SOLUTION: In a coding device comprising a circuit and a memory, the circuit determines that a prediction processing is performed by using any one of a plurality of modes containing a first mode that performs a prediction processing on the basis of a motion vector of a block unit in a moving image and a second mode performing a prediction processing on the basis of the motion vector of a sub-block unit obtained by dividing a block. In the case where the prediction processing is performed in the first mode, it is determined whether or not a correction processing of the prediction image is performed by using a spatial inclination of a pixel value in a prediction image obtained by performing the prediction processing, and a correction processing is performed in the case where it is determined that the correction processing is performed. In the case where the prediction processing is performed in the second mode, the correction processing is not performed.
