METHOD FOR PRODUCING LIGNOPHENOL AND SYSTEM FOR PRODUCING LIGNOPHENOL

To provide a method for producing lignophenol in which sulfuric acid is not essential when lignin is separated from cellulose and the like or lignophenol is produced in a process for producing lignophenol from a lignocellulose-based material, and to provide a system for producing lignophenol suitable for the method.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing lignophenol that comprises a step of heating a mixture containing a lignocellulose-based material, phenols, an alkali metal hydroxide, an inorganic sulfur compound and water so that a liquid temperature of the mixture becomes 130°C or higher, wherein the inorganic sulfur compound is one or more compounds selected from a water-soluble metal sulfite and a water-soluble metal sulfide.
