Zusammenfassung:To provide an electric compressor that can improve cooling performance of a switching element.SOLUTION: A switching element 70 comprises a conductive member 71, and a resin member 72 having a rectangular parallelepiped shape. The resin member 72 comprises: a first end surface 72a that is an end surface in a longitudinal direction, and from which a portion of the conductive member 71 protrudes; a second end surface 72b that is an end surface on a side opposite to the first end surface 72a; and a first side surface 72c connecting the first end surface 72a and the second end surface 72b. The conductive member 71 comprises a heat generation part 73a exposed in the first side surface 72c. The switching element 70 is arranged in an inverter housing chamber S1 in such a manner that the longitudinal direction of the resin member 72 extends in an axial direction of a rotating shaft. A heat dissipation member 80 made of metal is arranged between the switching element 70 and a partition wall 22. The heat dissipation member 80 comprises a first heat dissipation part 81 arranged between the heat generation part 73a and the partition wall 22, and a second heat dissipation part 82 continuous with the first heat dissipation part 81, and arranged between the second end surface 72b and the partition wall 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】スイッチング素子の冷却性能を向上できる電動圧縮機を提供する。【解決手段】スイッチング素子70は、導電部材71と直方体状の樹脂部材72とを有する。樹脂部材72は、長手方向の端面であるとともに導電部材71の一部が突出する第1端面72aと、第1端面72aとは反対側の端面である第2端面72bと、第1端面72aと第2端面72bとを繋ぐ第1側面72cとを有する。導電部材71は、第1側面72cにおいて露出する発熱部73aを有する。スイッチング素子70は、樹脂部材72の長手方向が回転軸の軸方向に延びるようにインバータ収容室S1に配置される。スイッチング素子70と区画壁22との間には、金属製の放熱部材80が配置される。放熱部材80は、発熱部73aと区画壁22との間に配置される第1放熱部81と、第1放熱部81と連続するとともに第2端面72bと区画壁22との間に配置される第2放熱部82とを有する。【選択図】図4
