Zusammenfassung: | To provide an electrostatic charge developer where silica particles containing a nitrogen element-containing compound are externally added to toner particles, and a carrier is contained, which can maintain chargeability, and suppresses toner scattering and image unevenness.SOLUTION: An electrostatic charge developer contains: toner particles; silica particles externally added to the toner particles that contain a nitrogen element-containing compound, in which the content of the nitrogen element-containing compound to the silica particles is 0.005 mass% or more and 0.5 mass% or less in terms of a nitrogen element, when respective pore volumes with a pore diameter of 1 nm or more and 50 nm or less, which are determined from a pore distribution curve of a nitrogen gas adsorption method before and after baking at 350°C, are represented by A and B, B/A is 1.2 or more and 5 or less, and B is 0.2 cm3/g or more and 3 cm3/g or less; and a carrier having a core material and a nitrogen element-containing coated resin layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】トナー粒子に対し、窒素元素含有化合物を含むシリカ粒子が外添され、キャリアを含む静電荷像現像剤等において、帯電性が維持でき、トナー飛散や画像ムラが抑制される静電荷像現像剤を提供する。【解決手段】トナー粒子と、前記トナー粒子に外添されるシリカ粒子であって、窒素元素含有化合物を含み、当該シリカ粒子に対する前記窒素元素含有化合物の含有量が、窒素元素換算で0.005質量%以上0.5質量%以下であり、350℃焼成前後における窒素ガス吸着法の細孔分布曲線から求める細孔直径1nm以上50nm以下の細孔体積を各々A及びBとしたとき、B/Aが1.2以上5以下であり、かつBが0.2cm3/g以上3cm3/g以下であるシリカ粒子と、芯材と窒素元素含有被覆樹脂層とを有するキャリアと、を含む静電荷像現像剤。【選択図】図1 |
