METHOD FOR PRODUCING MOLDED ARTICLE INCLUDING RECYCLED POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE, AND MOLDED ARTICLE

To provide a molded article including recycled polyethylene terephthalate with a reduced level of cyclic trimers compared to a molded article of general-purpose mechanical-recycled polyethylene terephthalate.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a method for producing a molded article that includes component (A): 1-50 mass% of recycled polyethylene terephthalate and component (B): 50-99 mass% of a catalyst-deactivated product of polyethylene terephthalate obtained using a germanium catalyst, assuming the total of the components (A) and (B) to be 100 mass%. An injection molded article thereof has a cyclic trimer level of 0.25 mass% or more and 0.42 mass% or less.
