To provide a start controller capable of enhancing the visibility of the start of opening of a blocking rod at a closed position for a driver.SOLUTION: A start controller is equipped with a rotary shaft, a rotation mechanism for rotating the rotary shaft around a central axis of the rotary shaft, a blocking bar connected to the rotary shaft, and a mechanism support part installed on a roadside of a lane and supporting the rotation mechanism. The rotary shaft is supported by the mechanism support part via the rotation mechanism such that the rotary shaft extends in the horizontal direction and the central axis of the rotary shaft is inclined with respect to the lane direction.
