To provide a liquid absorption member which can suppress deformation of an ink image even if there is a portion with a low liquid permeable property in a porous body.SOLUTION: A liquid absorption member 105a includes a porous body 10 in which a plurality of porous layers are laminated. The porous body 10 includes a first surface 10a which absorbs liquid. Liquid permeates in the first direction crossing each porous layer from the first surface 10a.
