To improve detection accuracy of storage of a waste ink tank in a case.SOLUTION: A waste ink mechanism 40 of a printer 10 comprises: a waste ink channel 42; a waste ink tank 43 in which waste ink is collected; a case 41 in which the waste ink tank 43 is stored; and a displacement member 44 displaced between a first position P11 and a second position P12 when the waste ink tank 43 is stored in the case 41. The displacement member 44 has an ink reception part 73 disposed at a position directly below an outlet 62 of the waste ink channel 42 at the first position P11, an abutment part 75 that abuts against the waste ink tank 43 before the ink reception part 73 when the displacement member 44 is moving between the first position P11 and the second position P12, and a detected part 74 displaced in position in accordance with displacement of the displacement member 44.
