Zusammenfassung: | To suppress mist from being generated.SOLUTION: A driving signal for a driving element includes a first driving waveform including a first contraction waveform whose potential changes from a first potential to a second potential so that volumes of a pressure chamber are contracted, and a second driving waveform including a second contraction waveform whose potential changes from the first potential to the second potential so that the volumes of the pressure chamber are contracted. The first contraction waveform includes a first partial waveform whose potential changes from the first potential to a first intermediate potential, a second partial waveform whose potential is kept at the first intermediate potential and a third partial waveform whose potential changes from the first intermediate potential to the second potential. The second contraction waveform includes a fourth partial waveform whose potential changes from the first potential to a second intermediate potential, a fifth partial waveform whose potential is kept at the second intermediate potential and a sixth partial waveform whose potential changes from the second intermediate potential to the second potential. The driving element makes a nozzle discharge first liquid droplets in accordance with the first driving waveform, and makes the nozzle discharge second liquid droplets in accordance with the second driving waveform, so that the second liquid droplets unite with the first liquid droplets before the first liquid droplets impact in a medium.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
