Zusammenfassung: | To provide a hydraulic pressure rotating device which can suppress the generation of large torque at an outermost peripheral edge portion of a pressing plate.SOLUTION: A hydraulic pressure rotating device comprises: a rotating shaft: a cylinder block which is relatively non-rotatably provided at the rotating shaft; a plurality of pistons inserted into a plurality of cylinder chambers; a plurality of shoes provided at the plurality of pistons; a swash plate arranged so as to be obliquely inclined to the rotating shaft at a slide face; a pressing plate for pressing the plurality of shoes toward the swash plate; and a spherical bush for pressing the plurality of shoes toward the swash plate via the pressing plate. The pressing plate includes an external peripheral edge tapered part which is inclined so as to approach a main face as pressing outward in a radial direction at a back face at a side opposite to the main face coming in contact with the swash plate. In the external peripheral edge tapered part, the external peripheral tapered part has a thickness thicker than that of a portion of the main face at an external peripheral face of a pressing plate main body, and in a tip face of the cylinder block, a recess which is recessed from the tip face is formed at an opening part of the cylinder chambers.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
