To provide an improved seat which provides an easy-entry function.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a longitudinal adjuster (2) for a seat, in particular, a vehicle seat. The longitudinal adjuster (2) comprises: at least a fixed lower track (3); an upper track (4) slidable coupled to the lower track (3); an adjustment device (7) for longitudinally adjusting the upper track (4) relative to the lower track (3); a latch mechanism (6) to latch the upper track (4) relative to the lower track (3); and an electromechanical device (8) relatively coupled to the latch mechanism (6).
