Zusammenfassung:To provide a power transmission unit which achieves improvement of quietness in a gear mechanism and inhibits increase in the size of the unit when a brake rotor is provided around an input shaft 60 of the gear mechanism.SOLUTION: A power transmission unit 41 includes a motor 70 with a motor shaft 72, a gear mechanism 80, and an output shaft which are housed in a case 42. Power of the motor shaft 72 is transmitted to the output shaft via the gear mechanism 80. The gear mechanism 80 has: a gear shaft rotatably supported on the case 42; and a first helical gear 81 provided on the gear shaft. The power transmission unit 41 further includes a connecting member 74 having a cylindrical portion 75 fitted in the motor shaft 72 and the gear shaft to allow the motor shaft 72 and the gear shaft to synchronously rotate.
