To provide an auxiliary device of an image display apparatus and an image display system in which maintenance and replacement of a control unit can be safely and easily performed in a case where the control unit is in the exposed state.SOLUTION: An auxiliary device 5 of an image display apparatus is attached to an image display apparatus including: a display unit 2 which displays an image; a support member 3 which supports the display unit 2; and a control unit 4 which controls the display unit 2 and comprises a movement mechanism which is provided on the back side of the display unit 2 and supports the control unit 4.
