To reduce a burden on an image-reading doctor in writing an image-reading report.SOLUTION: A report writing support device according to an embodiment comprises an identification unit and a report writing unit. When receiving an input to the effect that an image-reading order regarding a first medical image obtained by imaging a portion of a patient with a first modality is selected in response to an operation by a user, the identification unit designates a predetermined area of the first medical image as an area of interest and identifies a second medical image corresponding to the designated area of interest from among second medical images obtained by imaging the portion of the patient with a second modality different from the first modality.
