Zusammenfassung:To provide biodegradable polyester fibers being strong enough to sufficiently endure when used normally, and a manufacturing method of the biodegradable polyester fibers, the method enabling continuous and stable manufacturing, and the fibers not conglutinating with each other, having little variation in fiber diameter, and being strong enough to sufficiently endure when used normally.SOLUTION: Biodegradable polyester fibers have fineness of 200 dtex or less, strength of 1.5 cN/dtex or more, and are made from PHA. A manufacturing method comprises: a first step of melting a resin material containing PHA and discharging the resin in a fibrous state from a spinneret b; a second step of, after air-cooling fibers c made from the discharged resin material, keeping the fibers at 140°C or higher and 180°C or lower; a third step of winding up undrawn fibers obtained in the second step; a fourth step of drawing the wound-up undrawn fibers at a drawing rate of 100 m/min or more and 600 m/min or less and with a draw magnification ratio of 1.5 times or more and 3.0 times or less; and a fifth step of subjecting the drawn fibers to stress relaxation at 0.80 times or more and 0.99 times or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】通常の使用の際に実用上で十分に耐えられる強度を有した生分解性ポリエステル繊維を提供する。連続的に安定した生産が可能であって、繊維間の膠着や繊維径のバラツキがなく、実用上で十分に耐えられる強度を有した生分解性ポリエステル繊維の製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】繊度が200dtex以下、強度が1.5cN/dtex以上であり、PHAからなる生分解性ポリエステル繊維である。またPHAを含む樹脂材料を溶融して紡糸口金bより繊維状に吐出する第1工程、吐出された樹脂材料からなる繊維cを空冷した後、140℃以180℃以下で保温する第2工程、第2工程より得られた未延伸繊維を巻き取る第3工程、巻取った未延伸繊維を延伸速度100m/min以上600m/min以下、延伸倍率1.5倍以上3.0倍以下で延伸する第4工程、延伸された繊維を0.80倍以上0.99倍以下で応力緩和させる第5工程を含む製造方法である。【選択図】図1
