To provide a shock absorbing member capable of improving energy absorption performance with good weight efficiency.SOLUTION: A shock absorbing member (100) includes a cylindrical first peripheral wall (10) and a cylindrical second peripheral wall (20). The second peripheral wall (20) is arranged coaxially with the first peripheral wall (10) outside the first peripheral wall (10). The second peripheral wall (20) includes a plurality of protrusions (21) so that the second peripheral wall (20) has a wavy shape when the second peripheral wall (20) is viewed in an axial direction. The protrusions (21) are arranged in a peripheral direction of the second peripheral wall (20). Each of the protrusions (21) protrudes outward from the first peripheral wall (10) and extends in the axial direction of the second peripheral wall (20).
