Zusammenfassung:	To provide a pigment which achieves smooth and preferable touch feeling on an application object, for example, which can achieve preferable spreadability on a skin of a user, when being used as cosmetics, such as foundation and eye shadow, and achieves preferable color development and luster.SOLUTION: A pigment is a coated pigment where a surface of a flaky base material formed of at least one kind of metal or metal oxide is coated with a color agent, and a coarse grain area ratio on the flaky base material surface is 9% or less. In addition, the flaky base material is preferably at least one kind selected from a group formed of, mica, aluminum, alumina, and glass.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】本発明が解決しようとする課題は、塗布物における触り心地が良く滑らかであり、例えばファンデーション、アイシャドウなどの化粧料として使用したときに肌に乗せた際の伸びが良く、発色や艶が良い顔料を提供することにある。【解決手段】本発明の顔料は、少なくとも一種の金属あるいは金属酸化物からなる薄片状基材の表面が、着色剤により被覆されている被覆顔料であって、薄片状基材表面における粗粒面積率が９％以下である。また、前記薄片状基材が、マイカ、アルミニウム、アルミナ及びガラスからなる群より選ばれる少なくとも１種以上であることが好ましい。【選択図】図４
