Zusammenfassung: | To provide a passing control method which improves, when an own vehicle passes a preceding vehicle that is slowing down while executing preceding vehicle follow-up control, degree of automatic deceleration of the own vehicle according to deceleration of the preceding vehicle.SOLUTION: A passing control method is performed at the time of executing preceding vehicle follow-up control which decelerates an own vehicle through automatic brake when a preceding vehicle is determined to be slowing down based on peripheral information of the own vehicle detected by a peripheral information detection device. The passing control method suppresses deceleration of the own vehicle (S70), in a condition that the preceding vehicle is determined to be slowing down (S20) and overlap ratio Ro of the own vehicle to the preceding vehicle in a vehicle width direction is determined to be reference value Roc or less (S30), when a driving operation sensor detects an operator performs driving operation to overtake the preceding vehicle (S40) and the own vehicle can overtake the preceding vehicle without having a negative influence to the other vehicles (S50).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】先行車追従制御の実行中に減速する先行車を自車両が追越す場合に、自車両が先行車の減速に合わせて自動的に減速される度合が低減されるよう改善された追越し制御方法を提供する。【解決手段】周囲情報検出装置により検出された自車両の周囲の情報に基づいて先行車が減速中と判定されると、自動制動により自車両を減速させる先行車追従制御の実行中に行われる追越し制御方法であり、先行車が減速中と判定され(S20)、且つ先行車に対する自車両の車幅方向のオーパラップ率Roが基準値Roc以下であると判定されている(S30)状況において、運転操作センサにより運転者が先行車を追越す方向への運転操作を行っていることが検出され(S40)且つ自車両が周囲に悪影響を及ぼすことなく先行車を追越すことが可能であると判定されたときには(S50)、自動制動による自車両の減速が抑制される(S70)。【選択図】図2 |
