ELECTROSURGICAL INSTRUMENT

To provide an electrosurgical instrument which has an electrode that influences biological tissue by means of an electrical current, is provided with light receipt devices that receive light originating from a spark created at the electrode, making it possible to determine tissue features from the received light.SOLUTION: An instrument 10 has a hood 25 that surrounds a flow chamber. The hood serves for suction of emissions that are produced by influence of an electrode 18 supplied with high frequency voltage on biological tissue.
