Zusammenfassung: | To provide a light source device capable of improving the use efficiency of an internal space of the light source device by suppressing an increase in the number of members, and to provide a projection device including the light source device.SOLUTION: A light source device includes a rotary wheel device 150 having a rotary wheel 151 including a reflection region for reflecting light in a blue wavelength range and a transmission region for transmitting at least the light in a red wavelength range and the light in a green wavelength range; and a dichroic mirror 200 for transmitting the light in a blue wavelength range and the light in the red wavelength range and reflecting the green wavelength range. The dichroic mirror 200 which intersects with a part of the rotating wheel 151 so as to overlap therewith and includes an intersection part 200a to which the light in the blue wavelength range, the light in the red wavelength range, and the light in the green wavelength range are irradiated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
