Zusammenfassung:To provide populations of placental stem cells to promote angiogenesis, and methods of using the same to treat diseases or disorders of the circulatory system.SOLUTION: The invention provides an isolated stimulated placental derived adherent cell adherent to tissue culture plastic. The cell is CD10+, CD34-, CD105+ and CD200+, and has been contacted with one or more pro-inflammatory cytokines (e.g., IL-1β) in vitro. The cell is configured to: (1) promote the proliferation of endothelial cells; (2) promote formation of sprouts or tube-like structures in a population of endothelial cells; or (3) promote migration of endothelial cells.
