Zusammenfassung:To provide a liquid crystal device in which the unevenness in liquid crystal can be suppressed even when exposed under a high temperature environment.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal device 1 comprises: a first glass sheet 41; a second glass sheet 42; a liquid crystal cell 10 located between them; a first joint layer 31 located between the first glass sheet 41 and the liquid crystal cell 10; and a second joint layer 32 located between the second glass sheet 42 and the liquid crystal cell 10. The first glass sheet 41 has a curbed shape that is recessed toward the first joint layer 31 side. In a cross section passing through the center of the liquid crystal cell 10 and parallel to a direction in which the curved shape is provided, in a plane view of the liquid crystal device 1, a thickness T1 of the first joint layer 31 at the center of the liquid crystal cell 10 is smaller than a thickness T2 of the first joint layer 31 at an outer circumferential edge of the liquid crystal cell 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 【課題】高温の環境下に曝した場合であっても、液晶ムラの発生を抑えることができる液晶装置を提供する。【解決手段】液晶装置1は、第1ガラス板41と、第2ガラス板42と、これらの間に配置された液晶セル10と、第1ガラス板41と液晶セル10との間に配置された第1接合層31と、第2ガラス板42と液晶セル10との間に配置された第2接合層32とを備える。第1ガラス板41は、第1接合層31側に凸となる湾曲形状を有し、液晶装置1の平面視での液晶セル10の中心を通り湾曲形状を有する方向に平行な断面において、液晶セル10の中心での第1接合層31の厚みT1が、液晶セル10の外周端での第1接合層31の厚みT2よりも小さい。【選択図】図5
