POLYAMIC ACID AND THERMOSETTING COMPOSITION USING THE SAME, CURED FILM AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY ELEMENT

To provide: polyamic acid soluble in a mild solvent; and a thermosetting composition, a cured film and a liquid crystal display element each using the polyamic acid. To provide a liquid crystal made of the polyamic acid of the present invention and to provide a thermosetting composition that has an orientation ability for a polymerizable liquid crystal and a flattening ability for a substrate. To provide a cured film made of the thermosetting composition of the present invention and having a high transmittance and a high voltage retention. And to provide an electronic component such as a liquid crystal display element and a solid-state imaging device each having the cured film.SOLUTION: Polyamic acid is provided which is obtained by reacting an aliphatic tetracarboxylic dianhydride of specific structure and a raw material including aliphatic diamine having specific structure.
