Zusammenfassung:To provide a technique advantageous to a reading device by applying a rod lens array to a reduced optical system.SOLUTION: A reading device includes: a sensor; and a rod lens array including a plurality of rod lenses arranged along the direction of arrangement perpendicular to an optical axis. The rod lenses include a plurality of use lenses, which form a reading region into a small image on the sensor; and a plurality of non-use lenses, which do not form the reading region into an image on the sensor.
