Zusammenfassung:To provide a method of inserting an H-steel requiring a joint for use as an earth retaining stress member or a gantry strut.SOLUTION: A method of inserting an H-steel requiring a joint into the ground uses an H-steel in which a plate-like joint is arranged at a position along each web 31b of H-steels 31 joined by a joint 32, both ends of the joint are welded to the inside portion of a flange 31a, and the joint and the web are joined by bolts 33. The H-steel joined by the joint is inserted into a drilled hole formed by a prescribed drilling machine.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5-A 【課題】山留め応力材や構台支柱に用いる、継手を要したＨ鋼の挿入方法を提供する。【解決手段】継手を要したＨ鋼を地中に挿入するＨ鋼の挿入方法であって、継手３２で接合するＨ鋼３１同士のそれぞれのウェブ３１ｂに沿った位置に板状の継手を配設し、継手の両端部をフランジ３１ａの内側部に溶接し、継手とウェブとをボルト３３で接合したＨ鋼を用い、所定の削孔機で形成した削孔に継手で接合したＨ鋼を挿入する。【選択図】図５－Ａ
