Zusammenfassung:To provide an electric fusion joint that can be electrically fused to both right and left sockets of a plastic pipe as an object of connection not at the same time, but one after the other.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing an electric fusion joint where a forward path having a spiral in a forward direction from an opening part side of the electric fusion joint to an opening part side on the opposite side from the opening part and a return path in the opposite direction from the forward direction are formed of one electric heating wire. The electric fusion joint is set in a lathe to rotate on its axis, a dedicated cutter is set in the lathe, and the dedicated cutter is moved axially while abutting on an inner peripheral surface of the electric fusion joint, the electric fusion joint is made to rotate on its axis to form a fusion part. The fusion part is formed by cutting a cut groove in the inner peripheral surface with a press-cutting blade that the dedicated cutter comprises, the electric heating wire is inserted into the cut groove from an electric heating wire supply hole that the dedicated cutter has, and the cut groove into which the electric heating wire is inserted is pressed with a press guide that the dedicated cutter has together with the electric heating wire to fix the electric heating wire in the cut groove.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】接続相手のプラスチック管を左右の受口両方に同時にではなく左右の受口の片方ずつ電気融着できる電気融着継手を提供する。【解決手段】電気融着継手の開口部側から開口部の逆側の開口部側への往路方向へ螺旋が進行する往路と往路方向と逆方向の復路とが1本の電熱線で形成される電気融着継手の製造方法であって、旋盤に電気融着継手を自転させるようにセットして、旋盤に専用刃物をセットして、専用刃物を電気融着継手の内周面に当接させながら軸方向へ移動させるとともに、電気融着継手を自転させて、融着部を形成する。融着部の形成は、専用刃物が備える押切刃により、内周面に切欠き溝を切削して、専用刃物が備える電熱線供給孔から、電熱線を切欠き溝へ挿入して、専用刃物が備える押さえガイドにより、電熱線が挿入された切欠き溝を電熱線とともに押圧して電熱線を切欠き溝内に固定する。【選択図】図2
