PRINTED MATTER INSPECTION DEVICE

To provide a printed matter inspection device which can accurately measure a register mark while suppressing a data amount, can detect a twist of printing register on the right and left of a sheet including a first color and also detect a difference in the color density between the right and left of a print sheet.SOLUTION: A printed matter inspection device prints register marks 91A-93B respectively on two or more positions along the lateral direction on a print sheet 9, includes imaging means 3A, 3B for imaging the printed register marks at two or more positions along the lateral direction correspondingly to the two or more positions of the register marks, and detects misregistration in the two or more positions, a density change of ink or dot gain change of a printing plate by comparing register, color density or dot area ratio of each register mark acquired by the two or more pieces of the imaging means provided at the two or more positions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】データ量を抑えつつ、見当マークを精度よく測定し、１色目も含めて、シートの左右での印刷見当のねじれも検出でき、また、印刷シート左右での色濃度の違いも検出できる印刷物検査装置を提供せんとする。【解決手段】印刷シート９に、横方向に沿った２以上の位置にそれぞれ見当マーク９１Ａ～９３Ｂを印刷し、該印刷された見当マークを撮像する撮像手段３Ａ，３Ｂを、見当マークの２以上の位置に対応して、横方向に沿った２以上の位置にそれぞれ設け、２以上の位置に設けられた２以上の撮像手段で取得される各見当マークの見当、色濃度又はドット面積率を比較することで、２以上の位置相互の見当ずれ、インキの濃度変化又は印刷版のドットゲイン変化を検出する。【選択図】図２
