Zusammenfassung:	To provide a radioactive waste separation method and a cutting/separating device, which allow for efficiently generating non-radioactive waste (NR) from radioactive waste.SOLUTION: A radioactive waste separation method of the present invention comprises subjecting radioactive waste with contaminated portions on surfaces thereof to: a cutting blade inserting step for preventing machined product from touching cutting blades of a milling cutter, end mill and the like contaminated by being in contact with contaminated surfaces of the radioactive waste to prevent contamination of the machined product; and a separation step for preventing the post-cutting machined product from touching scattered shavings to prevent contamination of the machined product.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】放射性廃棄物から放射性廃棄物でない廃棄物（ＮＲ）を効率的に生成する放射性廃棄物の分離工法及び切削分離装置を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の放射性廃棄物の分離工法は，表面に汚染部位を有する放射性廃棄物に対して，放射性廃棄物表面の汚染に触れることで汚染されたフライス、エンドミル等の切削刃が加工物に触れ、加工物が汚染されることを防ぐための切削刃の入刀工程と，飛散した切削屑が切削後の加工物に触れ，加工物が汚染することを防ぐ分離工程と，を有することを特徴としている。【選択図】図１
