Zusammenfassung:To obtain an inexpensive and compact rotary electric machine with excellent water resistance while maintaining cooling performance.SOLUTION: The rotary electric machine includes: an electric motor provided with a rotor, a stator, and a housing; a power supply unit provided with a heat dissipation member formed in a plate shape, a power module in which one side surface in an axial direction is thermally connected to the other side surface in the axial direction of the heat dissipation member, and a cover that is formed into a bottomed cylinder shape, and covers the heat dissipation member and the power module from the other side in the axial direction and from the outside in a radial direction; and refrigerant passages, wherein a connecting part that connects the electric motor and the power supply unit is provided between the housing and the power supply unit, a cylindrical part of the cover extends in one side in the axial direction and covers the connecting part from the outside in the radial direction, the refrigerant passages are provided on one or both of the heat dissipation member and an area between the heat dissipation member and the housing, the refrigerant passages overlap with the power module viewed in the axial direction, and the cylindrical part of the cover has an opening portion through which the refrigerant passes at a circumferential location different from a circumferential location outside in the radial direction of the connecting part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】冷却性能を維持しつつ、耐水性に優れ、安価で小型化した回転電機を得ること。【解決手段】回転子、固定子、及びハウジングを設けた電動機と、板状に形成された放熱部材と、軸方向の一方側の面が放熱部材の軸方向の他方側の面に熱的に接続されたパワーモジュールと、有底筒状に形成され、放熱部材及びパワーモジュールを軸方向他方側及び径方向外側から覆ったカバーとを設けた電力供給ユニットと、冷媒流路とを備え、ハウジングと電力供給ユニットとの間に、電動機と電力供給ユニットとを接続した接続部を有し、カバーの筒状部は軸方向の一方側に延出して接続部を径方向外側から覆い、冷媒流路は、放熱部材と、放熱部材とハウジングとの間の領域との一方又は双方に設けられ、冷媒流路は軸方向に見てパワーモジュールと重複し、カバーの筒状部は、接続部の径方向外側の周方向位置とは異なる周方向位置に、冷媒が通過する開口部を有している。【選択図】図2
