Zusammenfassung:	To improve workability by eliminating the interference between a recording unit and an illumination unit during maintenance.SOLUTION: A recording device includes: a recording unit capable of recording on a media; a housing unit housing the recording unit and having an opening through which the recording unit is visible; an opening/closing cover capable of opening and closing the opening; and an illumination unit provided at a prescribed position above the recording unit and illuminating the inside of the housing unit.
