IMAGE FORMING METHOD

To provide an image forming method for forming an image that can be fixed to a cloth medium, has sufficient washing resistance, and has sufficient chroma even on a dark color fabric.SOLUTION: An image forming method includes the following steps of 1 to 4, and in the step 3, includes transferring and fixing an image on a transfer medium to an image receiving substrate at a temperature PT(°C) satisfying a following relational expression (1). (Step 1) A step of using an electrophotographic image forming apparatus to form a toner image on a transfer medium by using a toner for image formation, (step 2) a step of forming an undercoat layer on the toner image by using a toner for undercoat layer formation, (step 3) a step of applying heat and a pressure to the combination of the image receiving substrate and the undercoat layer to transfer and fix the image on the transfer medium onto the image receiving substrate, and (step 4) a step of separating the transfer medium and the image transferred and fixed onto the image receiving substrate from each other.
