To provide a printer which can suppress the damage on a cable when an impact is applied to a housing.SOLUTION: A printer comprises: a housing in which a printing unit is provided; a first plate which is provided in the housing and fixed to the housing; a base plate which is fixed to the first plate; connection members 71, 72 which are fixed to the base plate and have an adapter jack 712 to which a terminal of a cable is inserted and a USB jack 722; and second plates 62, 63 which are fixed to the first plate or the base plate and have openings 621, 631 for exposing the adapter jack 712 and the USB jack 722 when viewed from the insertion direction.
